Unique Selling Proposition or USP, also known as USA
or Unique Selling Advantage, is another important aspect of marketing
that you have to consider properly. If you think you are prime to do
business, then you must have some USP to help launch your career as an
internet marketer.

There are many things to consider as you
develop your USP, and you must be able to learn these by heart before
you really gain something substantial out of your USP or USA.

It is a matter of Dominance.

You
must make your USP as if you are the only solution available for the
problem. You no longer think of keeping at par with your competitors
(although you still secretly make note of that), but you actually
position your mindset in a way that it seems you are the only one who
can fill your target market’s need. This is the best way to concoct a
viable unique selling proposition. You don’t just aim to get a part of
the consumer pie. You aim to dominate.

It begins with a Killer Headline.

You
cannot expect your consumers to buy from you or trust you if you
haven’t gotten their attention. Love begins with one hello, as the song
goes. But that hello must come with a bang for it to be heard loud
enough for your target market to hear.

It will take months or even years to perfect.

The
thing about people who try to make up their USP’s is that they think
that with just one sitting they can concoc the best USP. On the
contrary, having a good idea does not equate to success unless you work
on it. The perfection of that USP needs to be tested, refined and
tempered by elements of time and hard work.

It will have to be filled with benefit laden statements.

The
good USA or USP must be bordered with benefit laden statements in order
for it to sell to the market. The marketability of your USA or USP
heavily depends on how it will seem beneficial to your target audience.

It can sometimes come from out of the box.

Out
of the box thinking can actually bring the best USP’s. It does not have
to be your idea. It can be something casually pitched in by a friend or
a family member, who are not as immersed in the business as you. Out of
the box thinking may or may not work, but it already has the advantage
in the sense that it is out of the ordinary and something that other
people in the same field might not have seen.

The BLT principles consists of action words that you
would want your prospects to have with you. This is also the reason why
autohumanization works. Automation will cease to work unless you give
it a humanized touch.

The more money you want to earn, the more
personalized your approach must be. You cannot expect to turn your
prospects into leads until you are able to elicit the BLT principle in
them.

The BLT principle may also be called the KLT principle.
It’s Believe (or Know), Like and Trust. Let us examine each of these in
depth.

Believe

All marketers bank on
belief. You have to be able to convince your prospects that what you
have to say is believable. If you are providing a too good to be true
offer, then most people would probably not give you the benefit of the
doubt. The sad fact is that many internet marketers in the past have
promised hollow things all for the sake of getting someone to buy their
products.

If you put yourself in the perspective of those who
have been badly burned by yet another ill-fated marketing pitch, then
you might as well be more wary from receiving offers in the future. If
you make them sure that you are believable, then it can eventually lead
to the remaining two steps in the BLC principle.

Like

It
is one thing to make them believe in you. It is quite another to make
them like you. I know it may be a difficult pill to swallow, but you
have to make your customer like you first before you sell them
anything. If you find it hard to be a bit of a people-pleaser even just
for this venture, then you might want to seriously consider a paradigm
shift.

Liking from an internet marketer’s perspective is not
really about them liking you on a personal level even with all your
idiosyncrasies. But it is really all about making them like what you
have to offer, like your style of marketing and all those things
contributory to your business.

Trust

The
very last thing that you can build with your prospects to make them
sure buyers is trust. In any relationship, whether it is personal or
business-related, trust is vital. If you get them to like and believe
you, but not trust you, you will only get more page views and no buyers.

Building
trust is a thing that you can master over time. It is also not an
overnight success. Trust is something you have to work on regularly
with all your prospects.

Once your prospects or leads learn to
believe, like and trust you, it will only be a matter of time before
you feel your business thriving and increasing. While it’s true that
there are still a great deal of things to learn, once you have the BLT
settled in your business, most of the things you will be doing
afterward will be a breeze.

It is not just sheer willpower that takes you to
polishing your business in internet marketing. If you have joint
venture partners or in the process of building your list in a short
time frame or deadline, you can’t afford to waste any time by means of
polishing your webpages for you and your partners’ best interests.

Semi-targeting
your list is one of the best ways to make sure you get to build your
list quick. In other words, build some sub-lists.

Since it’s your
giveaway, you can also add more than one product in the giveaway.
People will just go through and pick what they’re interested in or what
they want to know and you can build a semi-targeted list just by doing
that. By putting multiple products in your very own giveaway, you can

Another thing to do is build a capture page for your JV

As for your JV or joint venture
partners, ensure that they already know what you are to do with your
giveaways. In order for them not to lose interest in what you are doing
with them, send out the invitations instantly or as soon as you get
their go signal. Never miss the opportunity given by your timing.

It
will also do you a lot of good if you create a welcome email in your
auto-responder so that when they sign up for your list, that they get
your welcome and then you can put your other messages in there also.
Give them an unadvertised bonus also in that it makes them think that
“hey, this is a good list to stay on.”

In the next couple of days
or so, start making sure all of your emails as least some kind of a
proposal in it for a sale. This is dones so that they know that you’re
not just there to give them stuff. Have some kind of offer in these
emails. The last thing you would want is for another marketer to win
their affections.

Another thing that you need to do is build a
page that has requires a password before they can get to the download
area. That way they can’t just say “Hey, pass out and say go in here to
get the download information.”

With regard to your actual
download page, you might have to format the font or the size of the
font. And so you add the gift to the download page as your receive
them. Because when you make your sales letter, you also put in an
invitation for people who come to get the gifts.

And then, after
doing that, you’re ready to start your own list-building machine and
this strategy makes it possible for anybody to build a large list very
fast because you don’t have to have a list at all.
